To All Home Owners and Renters in Sinclair Heights,

The third and final Disaster Preparedness Informational Meeting was held on November 12, 2016 at the Christian Life Center in Port Orchard. We had another good turnout, thanks to all that came out. The meeting lasted approximately two hours. Committee Chairman Jack Cahoon covered in detail the Map Your Neighborhood program outlined in previous meeting minutes. All meeting attendees were provided with handout brochures prepared by FEMA and Kitsap County, to help prepare themselves for dealing with a disaster. We will need to be our own first responders in the first hours and for perhaps several days after a disaster strikes, as emergency responders from outside Sinclair Heights (police, fire, medical, utilities) will be tied up elsewhere.

The Committee will meet shortly after the Holidays to plan the next steps.

Thank you,

Sinclair Heights Disaster Preparedness Planning Committee

Another identical two hour Informational Meeting will be scheduled for mid November, before everyone gets busy with Holiday activities, tentatively set for November 12, 2016.  We will email/mail everyone the specifics for this third Informational Meeting.
